The Symposium was hosted by the Veterinary Faculty of Selcuk University, and took place at the university in Selcuk, a historic town near Konya in central Turkey. The sumposium organizers invited a number of speakers from around the world to speak on various topics relating to the livestock guardian breeds of Turkey. The presentations were short, but the papers submitted were compiled and published in a book entitled  International Symposium on Turkish Shepherd Dogs, "dedicated to those who contributed to the recognition of Turkish shepherd dogs outside Turkey."  The titles and authors of papers presented are listed below.
