"Sultan" and "Zeytin"

Both of these fine dogs are imports directly from Turkey.
Both have been xrayed and certified with good hips.

Sultan is an impressive dog of excellent temperament, and lives in Virginia with his owner Bedri. He comes from two hip-certified parents, bred by a husband-wife team who own some of the finest quality Kangal stock in Turkey. His PennHIP scores are .39 and .43, well above average for the Kangal breed, and for all dogs in the PennHIP database. Sultan is a robust male of excellent breed type and structure, and a welcome new addition to our Kangal Dog gene pool in the U.S.!

Zeytin comes from the same village in Kangal District as our beloved Pasha, but is completely unrelated and thus represents a valuable new bloodline. Several of her littermates are still working in their home village, and are a source of pride for the shepherd who bred them; we are grateful that we were given the opportunity to import this lovely female. She now guards a horse farm in the Appalachians for her co-owner Ursula. She has the same good PennHIP scores as Sultan: .39 and .43. Zeytin is a lovely, balanced bitch with outstanding structure and movement--she is truly poetry in motion and has much to contribute to the breed.

We are all very excited about the upcoming pups from this pair, and expect they will make a very positive contribution to the health and good type of the Kangal Dog breed here in the U.S.!

Our aim is to preserve the working temperament and type that the Kangal Dog is so prized for. Puppies are bred carefully and occasionally, and available to the right homes. Enquiries welcome.
