Chilek as a puppy. BTW, ferrets love to play rough, but the dogs know the little brats are fragile, and they play gently.

Sivas Regal's Chilek   at 18 months and at 22 months. Athletic, feminine structure, wonderfully curled tail, hips OFA Excellent.

These are shots of Sivas Regal's Pasha in various stages of puppyhood, playing with ferret, and letting a puppy "clean his teeth".

<== This is what Pasha looks like now, at 2+ years of age. Deep in thought one minute, full of beans the next.

Here's Pasha giving Chilek ("Strawberry") the raspberry

Who says a Kangal Dog will not retreive?
Pasha enjoys it on a cool fall day, when cheese is offered in wages.  He knows it's a silly game, but when he's in a silly mood, he'll play with enthusiasm.

Pasha and Chilek at maturity, just after their first litter (it's obvious if you look closely at Chilek...)

Getting a new cat or dog, but afraid your Kangal Dog will eat it? I've found that once the dogs see another animal going in and out of our house, it's accepted as "family" as long as the new animal doesn't challenge their dominance. But just to be on the safe side, you might consider following these steps to introduce your new pet to your Kangal Dog.

RipleyTWhat?~ ! We're big dog people, but we suddenly got this little dog with a big heart... Ripley the Rat Terrier. I guessed how our two Kangal dogs would react to the little invader... and I was right...
First we let the Kangal Dogs see the little dog  go in and out of the house for a few hours. Then Ripley ventures a sniff at Chilek through the fence. She's brave! Next we brought a Kangal Dog into the house, and kept Ripley crated until everyone settled down. When they did, I opened the cage door and ... instant buddies. This is Ripley with Pasha.
