Lule with her sire, Pasha

Lule is a wonderful, intelligent bitch with an exceptionally sweet temperament. She is easy to train, and loves attention.

She loves people, adores children, and friendly with most other dogs off territory. On territory, of course, she is on guard. Lule is an excellent watchdog, very alert to things in her environment. She is also very eager for affection from her humans. She has inherited her people-loving temperament from both of her parents, strong bone and head from her father, and her excellent angulation and structure from her mother. She has served as a gentle nanny to Kangal and rat terrier puppies, and will be an attentive mother. We expect her puppies will exhibit the same wonderful temperament that we have been blessed with in our breeding dogs.

Photo shows Lule as a pup with her sire, Pasha, on exhibit for Turkish Culture Day at the NC Museum of Art.

...and after winning her championship the UKC Premier.

Lule has good front and rear angulation, a trait to strive for in Kangal Dogs. She has broad, strong hips and good rear musculature. She has very good, proportionate bone, an excellent coat and pigment, and a beautiful, strong but feminine head with black mask and black ears. She has a lot of sabling (dark and dark-tipped hairs) that make her appear darker in color than her mother Ayla, who is a very clear fawn, or her father, who is also fairly clear but with a bit of sabling when you look up close. Lule has a white chest spot but no white on her feet.
We are looking forward to puppies with her wonderful structure and temperament, to make a valuable contribution to Kangal preservation efforts here in the U.S.

A dog that stops traffic...
Pasha is a massive, "classic Kangal" with his heavy bone structure and noble head. He is c. 32 inches tall at the shoulder, a trim 135 lbs., and our beloved family companion. His protective bark sounds more like the roar of a lion, and yet he is wonderfully sweet with small animals, and he loves children. He will put on quite a display when intruders enter our property, but is friendly and easy-going off-territory. As a Kangal Dog should be!

In fact, he has trained and passed the certification exam for Therapy Dogs International and the Delta Society. To know this dog is to love him.
